Hematite
Hematite is one of Earth's most abundant minerals. It is used in the production of iron ore. It is a silvery gray-black metallic color. It is generally referred to as the stone of the mind because it increases intuition.
Hematite helps a person sort out things in their mind and has been found useful for a mental "tune up". It increases original thinking technical knowledge and enhances memory. It is a great stone for people in the IT field. It is a stone that calms the mind, but helps support a person's hopes, dreams, wishes and desires, by encouraging you to "reach for the stars". Hematite reminds you that the only limitations that exist are those that you place upon yourself. It helps to balance out the emotions and energies between the body, mind and spirit. Hematite dissolves negativity by transforming it into the energy of Universal Love. It is said to attract "kind" love and acts as a stabilizing force, brings peace, grounding, self-control and inner happiness. Shamans have used it with blood disorders. Hematite is associated with the root (base or first) chakra and is said to attract compassionate love.
